Website in Raeren: customers from both sides of the border
Raeren sits on the motorway to Aachen, with customers from Germany who cross the border to shop. What a website has to do there.
Raeren, Eynatten and Hauset are the first villages behind the border, and the motorway at Lichtenbusch brings people from Aachen every day who fill up, shop, eat or look for a workshop in Belgium. Add the pottery tradition that draws visitors to the village. A business in Raeren therefore has two sets of customers: the neighbours from the municipality and the Germans, who have to find it through Google.
For the Germans the map counts: whoever searches for “cheap tyres near me” in Aachen gets Raeren shown, if the Google profile is right, with category, hours, photos and reviews. For both it counts that the site says within seconds, on the phone, what you do, what it costs and when you are open. German first, French for Welkenraedt and Liège, both built in, no licence.
I am based in Eupen, one municipality over. We have the first conversation at your place in Raeren, at mine at Rotenberg or by video. After that almost everything happens by phone and in the browser.
