Lacønis

Privacy

In short, this website does not count you, does not track you and passes nothing on. Here is what happens technically anyway.

Who is responsible

Lacønis, Nicolas Spies, Rotenberg 18a, 4700 Eupen, Belgium. Reachable at nicolas@laconis.be or on +32 488 43 91 47.

What is generated when you visit

When you open a page, your browser transmits, for technical reasons, the IP address, time, requested page, browser type and the previously visited page to the server. These details are kept for 14 days in the server logs, with the IP address truncated, to keep the site secure and find errors, and then deleted. The server is at Hostinger in Paris, France; the provider is Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus, with whom a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

What does not happen

This website uses no analytics or advertising services, no third-party cookies, no fonts from other servers at runtime and no embedded content from other providers. There is no contact form and no newsletter.

What is stored in the browser

Nothing. The site sets neither cookies nor entries in your browser's storage.

If you write to me

If you send an email, I process your address and the content to reply to you and, if it leads to a job, to carry it out (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The message stays stored as long as the matter is ongoing, and after that as long as I have to keep it for tax reasons.

If you write to me on WhatsApp

The WhatsApp button opens the app on your device with my number. Merely opening this website transmits nothing to WhatsApp. Only once you write there does WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. (Meta) process your number and message under its own rules. I see the number, name and message and treat them like an email, with the same legal basis and retention.

Links to other providers

The website links to my Google Business Profile, directions in Google Maps, Instagram, Wikipedia and the Belgian company register. Opening this website transmits nothing to them. Only when you click do you leave the site, and the rules of that provider apply.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. An email is enough. Complaints are handled by the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, dataprotectionauthority.be.

As of October 2026.
