FAQ.
What businesses want to know before the first conversation. It is here so you do not have to ask, and if you do anyway: call.
There is no price list at Lacønis, because no two businesses need the same thing. The amount depends on three things: how many pages and languages there will be, whether a shop or stock comes with it, and how much of the texts and images I take on. I work out the range during the conversation, the quote arrives the same day or the next: one number, not ten. You pay once for the build, then once a year for hosting on my server, which you can cancel at any time. Domain and email belong to you and run in your name, there are no subscriptions with third parties. The first conversation is free.

I do not need a deposit. When the site is built and only your go-ahead is missing, you pay half or all of it at once, the rest is due when the site goes live. Hosting on my server is paid once a year, and you can cancel at any time.
At Lacønis it takes two to eight weeks from the first conversation until the site is live, depending on how many pages, languages and features there will be. What holds a project up most often are texts and images that are supposed to come from the business. That is why I take on both, if you want. You have the quote the same day or the next, with a schedule, and the schedule holds.
Yes, through ContentCore, my own content system, which 7 of the 9 websites on this site run on: you click into the text and write, you upload a photo as it comes out of the camera. The look stays the way we designed it together. You do not need a manual for it.
Yes. You talk, I write the texts, in every language. For photos I bring in a photographer from the region. Logo, business cards and printed matter I do as well, so that in the end everything comes from one source and fits together.
I handle the move with you: domain, email addresses and the contents of the old site. Everything stays in your name, you remain the owner. You will not notice any of it, except that in the end everything works.
No. Your site sits on my server at Hostinger in Paris and is backed up automatically every day. I roll out changes after they have passed the tests. On your side there are no update notices and no maintenance invoice for it.
Yes, and in any other language your customers speak. In East Belgium, French is everyday life, so multilingualism is built in from the start: you add the language, one click translates, you proofread and approve. The machine's suggestion never goes live unseen. 5 of the 9 websites on this site run in two to four languages.
That is what the site is built for, in two ways. SEO: Google understands what your site stands for, through fast pages, clean headings, a title and description for every page and structured data. GEO: ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers can read and name your site, because everything is in the text and nothing is hidden behind clicks. What both want to see beyond that are real content and time. Nobody can honestly promise you a fixed spot, and neither do I.
Yes. Crownmill sells writing paper in thirteen languages, Anhänger-Center Breuer shows over a hundred trailers to buy and rent. I built both myself, with no cut of sales going to third parties. A members' area is ready; I am building booking and tickets right now.
No. Your site sets no cookies, ContentCore counts visitors without them. A banner only comes in if you embed an outside service yourself, say a YouTube video or a Google map.
Yes, from the start: contrast, keyboard operation, screen readers, image descriptions. Measured with Lighthouse, the sites under Work score 92 to 100 out of 100 for accessibility, this site 100, as of October 2026. Since 2025 the EU requires this of online shops. With me it is not an extra, it is standard for every site.
Yes, you invite them. As admin you see everything, including visitor numbers; editors can only write. A second key at login, not just a password, anyone can switch on.
You do. Texts, images, products and data you get in full as CSV at any time, even if you go somewhere else one day.
A new page in the existing layout or a small change costs nothing extra, that is included in running the site. A new feature, say a shop or a members' area, gets a quote, beforehand, not afterwards.
The content, yes, all of it. The site itself I rebuild in ContentCore and build in what you were missing with WordPress along the way: the feature no plugin could do quite like that. If you want to stay with WordPress, I can also write you a plugin for it. I prefer my own system, because nothing slows things down in between and one person is responsible for everything.
In five steps: conversation, concept, design, build, handover. From you I need one clear decision per step, not a round of consultations. The steps in detail are under About.
I am Nicolas Spies of Lacønis, and I work for small businesses: trades, retail, workshops, industry, creatives. I am based in Eupen, most of my customers in East Belgium, the Eifel and the Euregio around Aachen. There is no boundary. We have the first conversation wherever you want: at your place, at mine in Eupen or by video. After that almost everything runs by phone and in the browser, no matter how far away you are.
I look after ContentCore, but it is documented: another developer can take it over with a briefing. You also get your content and products as CSV at any time. I tell you this before we start, and it says so under System in the comparison as well.
If it was supposed to be finished yesterday, if you compare ten quotes and take the cheapest, or if you would rather have an agency of ten people than one person. I will tell you that just as plainly in the first conversation.
